What does decarbonisation mean in a port context? What is a digital twin? What does it mean RES? And how are digitalisation, sustainability and innovation shaping the ports of the future?
RENEWPORT is taking part in the new PRESPORT Podcast Series, a collection of short and accessible episodes exploring the language, concepts and key topics behind the transformation of European ports.
The podcast series is an initiative developed within PRESPORT – PRomoting grEen and Smart PORT hubs in the Adriatic Sea, co-financed by the Interreg Italy–Croatia Programme, which aims to foster knowledge exchange and cooperation around the green and digital transformation of ports. Through the PRESPORT Glossary and the related podcast series, the project is creating a shared language to help stakeholders better understand and discuss the key concepts shaping the future of European ports.
The podcast series guides listeners through key terms such as green transition, decarbonisation, sustainability, digitalisation, innovation, resilience and smart ports.
But a glossary is not only about definitions. It is also about connecting concepts with real projects, experiences and solutions that are contributing to the transformation of European ports.
For this reason, the PRESPORT Podcast Series brings together the perspectives also of other two Interreg projects working on different aspects of the green and digital transition of ports: ADRIREC, co-financed by Interreg IPA ADRION, and MILEPORT, co-financed by Interreg Italy–Croatia.
Through their contributions, the projects share experiences and perspectives on the challenges and opportunities linked to more sustainable, innovative, resilient and smarter ports.
